Push Hands (Tui Shou) is the umbrella name for Taijiquan's barehand partner training. Training is done is a safe, cooperative, non-competitive environment. No previous experience is necessary, Push Hands is a wonderful vehicle for deepening your study of Qigong, the Taijiquan solo form, other martial arts, bodywork...or for anyone interested in connection in general.

Taijiquan Tui Shou (Push Hands): Syllabus Material
The Yang Style Push Hands syllabus includes a variety of formalized drills to thoroughly explore how one can deeply listen to, understand, receive, neutralize, and issue force. The syllabus material is progressive in nature, starting with the deceptively simple '1-8' Preparatory Drills and moving toward Freestyle Push Hands and free sparring.

The traditional Yang Style Push Hands curriculum includes:

Ba Pan Jia Zi   (Eight Disc Method, or the '1-8' Preparatory Drills)
Si-zheng Tui-shou   (Four Hands)
Da Lu   (Large Rollback)
Taiji San-shou   (attack and defend form)
