Jim Madras
Jim guides the programs and events at the Natural Arts Center
and teaches Taijiquan, Qigong, Massage and Cupping. Jim has been studying Taijiquan and Qigong with Sam Masich
and
Jan Parker since the summer of 1995, and in the winter of 2001-2002
completed Sam’s Yang Style Taijiquan Full Curriculum Intensive. He also has a private massage practice
focusing on Chinese massage cupping, and has partnered with Jan Parker in
the production of Taijiquan and Qigong instructional videos (JanJimJam).
Erica Anderson
Erica has been training Yang Style Taijiquan since 2003 with
Jim Madras (Eugene), Sam Masich (Vancouver, BC) and Jan Parker (Bowen
Island, BC). At the end of 2007, she completed a six week intensive
with Sam Masich and received certification to teach Sam's innovative
Five Section Taijiquan Curriculum. Erica teaches at the Eugene YMCA as well as at the Natural Arts Center.
When not pursuing the internal arts, Erica has worked in the massage/spa industry
doing all the jobs that keep massage therapists working. She is
currently the "Organization Queen" of the publication Six Rivers, a
continuing education catalog for massage therapists and body workers.
She lives in Pleasant Hill on the river, with her husband Wade, where
they putter around together, watch birds and enjoy the tranquil
setting.
