Aikido was created and developed by O’Sensei Morihei Ueshiba in the early 1900's. Aikido is a non-violent martial art, which teaches self-defense techniques for harmonious interaction between two or more people.

The Nagare Dojo is the Aikido school at the Natural Arts Center. Nagare is a Japanese word that means to flow or move like a river. We teach and practice Aikido from a principle based perspective, focusing on mind-body integration and the aikido principles: breathing, centering, grounding, relaxing, energizing, and a unified body.
